Lilith
Dance performance
with Marion Blondeau
─ 2021
By exploring the myth of Lilith, considered one of the earliest myths of female revolt, Marion Blondeau and Ahmed Ayed envision a performance at the intersection of dance, visual arts, and sound creation. Questioning the domestications imposed on female bodies and the conditioning of sexuality objectified by the heteropatriarchal paradigm, Lilith becomes a ritual.
It unfolds through a continuous process of transformation, where states of the body come to life through animalistic, mechanical, and organic evocations. The body, alternately contorted, disarticulated, and augmented, wanders and shifts into unsettling and dissonant transfigurations.
